April Spurlock: Director of Early Childhood Education

April Spurlock

My name is April Spurlock, and I have been blessed to be a part of the LCA ministry for over a decade. I have had the pleasure of being a part of thousands of children’s and families’ lives during this time. I served as a Pre-K teacher for three years, toddler teacher for one year, and a curriculum coordinator for two years.  In 2011, I felt the Lord calling me to be the director of the Early Learning Center. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to provide excellent, Christian, early education for hundreds of children each year!

I was born in Decatur, Illinois and grew up in Charlotte, Tennessee. My family moved to Smyrna my Junior year of high school and I instantly fell in love with this community.  I studied Early Childhood Education and Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree.  I have two amazing sons who attend Lancaster Christian Academy and completed the Early Learning Center program.  My desire is to provide a loving, nurturing, Christ-centered environment for every child that I meet and get that opportunity everyday at Lancaster Christian Early Learning Center!

Megan Bragg: Assistant Director of Early Childhood Education

My name is Megan Bragg and it is my honor to serve the children and families of Lancaster Christian Early Learning Center!  I was born in Cleveland, Ohio and have lived in New York, Florida, Idaho, and Alaska; before settling in Tennessee.  My family and I have resided in Smyrna since 1996 and love to call it home.  I have a strong relationship with our Lord and Savior and am so thankful He has lead me to this wonderful place filled with His love and spirit.

I am married to my best friend and we have two wonderful sons and one very beautiful daughter that love the Lord. Being a mother is one of the greatest blessings of which I am thankful.  All 3 of my children attend Lancaster Christian Academy and through them the Lord has brought my family to this wonderful school. I know His will is being played out in my life, as I am able to be a part of the LCA ministry. Sharing the Lord with your children and watching them grow in Him is truly a blessing!  I am so excited to see where the Lord takes me and your children while I am serving at Lancaster Christian Early Learning Center.

Tina Bryson: Curriculum Coordinator/Administrative Assistant

Tina-Bryson

My name is Tina Bryson and it is an honor to be a part of Lancaster Christian Early Learning Center!  I was born and raised in Windsor, Vermont and have lived in Ohio and Kentucky.  I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Serving as a First Grade teacher for thirteen years and participating in mission work in Honduras has prepared me to serve you and the LCA family with excellence.

I am married to my wonderful husband Curt.  We met while serving as missionaries in Kenya for two years. After getting married, we knew we were called to serve in the mission field of Africa.  We sold or gave everything we owned away and left the country in September of 2015 to serve as missionaries for Youth with a Mission (YWAM) in Costa Rica, Uganda, South Sudan, and Kenya.  We lived in Kenya for a year and delivered our first child in Nairobi.  After our daughter was born, God called us back to Tennessee to serve and Smyrna has become our home once again.

My heart and desire is to see children flourish in an environment where they know God and feel His love and His presence daily. I get the privilege of being a part of that every day at Lancaster Christian Early Learning Center!

Christi Richardson: Director of Pre-Kindergarten Education

Christi-Richardson2

My name is Christi Richardson and I am blessed to serve Lancaster Christian Academy as the Administrator for the Pre-K Department.  I was born and raised in Tulsa Oklahoma and I accepted Christ at a very young age. I met my husband of 20 years, Matt, while majoring in Theatre at Northeastern State University.  Matt and I have two amazing children, Mallori and Braden.

After spending most of my adult life as a Manager in Banking and Finance, I found God leading me into Early Childhood Education.  With the encouragement of my husband, I went back to school and obtained a CDA in Early Childhood Education. I am currently in the process of continuing my education in the field of Special Education.

We are recent transplants to Smyrna, TN.  We were fortunate to have the opportunity to live on the beautiful island of Kauai Hawaii, where I was the Director of Preschool at Kauai Christian Academy. Our specific reason for moving to Smyrna was LCA.

After our daughter graduated high school, we decided as a family to move back to the "mainland" and we needed to find another Bible based school for our son.  God led us to Lancaster.  He is always so faithful!  I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store for me and the Pre-k department at Lancaster Christian Academy.
